GRANADA

Soooo me and nine other friends went to Granada in Spain last week for 6/7 days on our own. We stayed in such a nice apartment which was right about a restaurant where we spent the majority of our time ordering drinks and getting tapas.

We didn't go out much in the day but the night was always pretty mad as the alcohol was extremely cheap and the clubs would only start getting good at around 2am or later. Night life was so odd there but way more fun than London where NO clubs are open for my age and alcohol is way harder to buy. ((I probably shouldn't be writing about the illegal things we may have done that holiday should I??))

Granada is pretty beautiful, especially the Alhambra lit up at night and the view point where you get to see everything. This holiday was also very special for me as it was the first time I was able to use my new 550D camera which is so beautiful and recommend everyone to try it out!!!!!

These photos pretty much sum up the crazy time I had in Spain and although I miss it so much, I had one day to pack and see people before I flew off to CALIFORNIA!!!
As well as it being an amazing holiday, it also taught me and the others a lot about being independent. Having to cook for ourselves every day, clean, find the way to places without adults and making sure we have enough money for each day (which I was very bad).

I've been sooo busy recently since I'm trying to make the most of my summer. I've got so much to update and I promise I'll be getting to it asap!!

I'll go from quite a few weeks ago where I did some work experience with my two friends at one of the friends parents work. We were helping set out a press show for Mother Care which was actually rather exciting even if I'm not very interested in baby clothes and toys. We had to wrap and put together goody bags and then sort out prices for clothes and other little jobs like that. I liked the atmosphere and the feeling of working again, although it's not something I'd do it was interesting to be in that environment

This is rather a dull post which I deeply give my apologies but I thought it was something that needed to be shared on my blog

Sky Ferreira

My friend and I bought tickets for £3.50 each to go see Sky Ferreira at h&m nme showcase on the 25th of June. We both have a secret love for Sky, hence one of my posts about her. It was very small and not many people comparing to festivals and concerts I've been to but it was cute and just right for all Sky fans. I must say I thought it would be better and I ended leaving a little early, mostly because we had been waiting for ages for Sky to come on stage which was very annoying.

The fun part of the night was that Tallulah and I were called over and interviewed by NME. They asked us questions like how we found out about the event, what do we like about Sky's music, what song we were most looking forward to etc.. We both talked about Sky's fashion as the main part of why we loved her (we both have bleach blonde hair like hers)

I'll leave you with some pictures as I NME seem to not have posted the video yet and my writing is getting a little boring

Beginning of Summer

So now GCSE's are officially over (and have been since the 17th of June) I can properly start regularly posting on here which is what I've been wanting to do for so long!!

I've done surprisingly a lot over the past few weeks I've been on holiday, including shopping, prom, my new school induction day, parties, birthday and so much more!

I also went to the private viewing of the Central Saint Martins End of Year Show which was so amazing to be able to see all the work the students have done. I was obviously mostly interested in the fashion part of the work. I found all the clothes that had been designed and made by the students incredibly inspiring however I sadly wasn't allowed to take any photos. I enjoyed the womans wear more as I thought it was much more creative and out there although the mens was amazing too. This was the first time I've been to CSM and obviously I fell in love with it. I talked to a few people who said that if I were interested in studying fashion for uni then I should do a foundation out of London for a year and come back to CSM and study something else. I'd never considered that option before and now I am even more excited for the future.

Although I didn't get to go to the actual fashion show I still looked at many pictures of designs people came up with and found them all so original. The collection had so much creativity and so many different textures, colours and fabrics.

Everything's Embarrassing

While trying to do everything to avoid revising for my exams, I've found a very deep love for Sky Ferreria.. my absolute fashion god !!!!  (Must admit I've always had a soft spot for Sky)

Her smokey eyes and blonde hair while having a unique sort of grungy look is so perfect. Especially Sky's new short hair which has made me want to cut mine back again but I'm tooooo scared for that!

You know when you just want to be someone so bad.. ITS HER! Literally everything about Sky inspires me to just be myself and not be scared of showing it. Corny as it is, it's true. As well as her fashion  being absolutely insane, her music is another one of my obsessions right now. It's so simple and cute, everything I adore!

'Everything's Embarrassing' such a great song, definitely going to be one of my summer songs since it's already been on replay for the last few days.

Speaking of Summer, I've officially got ONE exam left until my long and packed summer which starts on MONDAY!!
I've made a promise with myself I'll update this blog regularly with everything I'm doing this summer.. which includes CALIFORNIA for three weeks, Spain, Reading Festival and at the end of the summer I'm doing a week long fashion styling course at Central Saint Martins (super super excited for that)
Plus I am getting a camera for my birthday which means no more shitty iPhone pictures!

Might as well slip in the fact that my final piece for my 'force' art gcse which I did on feminisn got chosen to be the front of the poster advertising the exhibition. It's going to be up all around my school which is quite exciting and I'm rather proud of.
There isn't much to update about myself since I've literally been revising and doing exams for the last couple weeks but this will all change soon on Monday when I'm freeeee

Still feels like Winter

Oh dear, I've become completely useless with blogging recently.. mostly because of the complete mayhem of school right now yet I still find I'm not doing enough and end up back in bed watching films and tv series night after night!  I'll try and be better as soon as exams are over (which is on the 17th of June CANNOT WAIT)

(thought I'd just add in some humor seeing as this post will probably be incredibly dull)

I guess I can give a little update on whats been gwarnin in my fabulous (joke) life..

It's been a couple of friends birthdays recently and as pathetic as I am, I haven't managed to get them presents yet but I'm slowly making progress!

(my best friend forever- at least I baked her a cake)

I've finally been getting round to watching films on my film list and have proudly ticked many off recently. I'd like to tell you about one of the newest edition to my favourite film.. Trainspotting. It's a very deep film about a young man living in Edinburgh trying to give up his herion addiction while surrounded by his best friends who all happen to be herion addicts as well.
''Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a starter home. Choose dental insurance, leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose your future. But why would anyone want to do a thing like that?''

I'm guessing most people have watched it but if you happen I seriously urge you to watch it straight away! It' one of those MUST SEE OR DIE (maybe die is too extreme) sorta films!!

And I've kind of fallen in love♡ with Ewan McGregor

OH MY GOSH HOW CAN I FORGET!?? I'm saying all this boring stuff without blogging about the fact that my hair colour has once again changed.. this time its back to natural brown! At first I hated it, I felt so weird and normal not having bleach blonde or pink hair.. But now I am totally in LOVE with this colour (it is my actual natural colour but I hadn't seen it in years!)

this happens to be the only proper photo I've got on my own with my brown hair and it's really not very good or flattering but yes this is me now looking slightly normal...

I wish I had some new clothing items to post or a trip to a gallery or something but I'm afraid at this point in my life, it's very boring! Except I did get my first pair of air max, they are so awesome

Sooo I'll leave this awful post now and hopefully have something interesting to talk about in a couple weeks seeing as it the holidays at the mo!

peace out xox
