Grimes
I thought I'd do a post on the artist 'Grimes' who to me, is very influential and definitely a fashion inspiration in my eyes. As well as her music being extremely unique and different, so is her individual and extremely eccentric style.

Far from artists like Rihanna or Niki Minaj, Grimes has impressed people in the fashion and music industry from all over the world. Designers are becoming more interested in her and are starting to want her to wear their own clothes. She wore a jacket and pair of cream and black patterned tights made by Lie Sang Bong, a Korean fashion designer whose clothes have also been worn by Lady GagaAlong with the whole clothes style, Grimes' hair is also another unique factor about herself. Always changing colours of dip dyed hair dye. (Something I have experimented many times in the past), she creates something so common, look so absolutely different and unique. That is what I love about Grimes, she never fails to take the norm, and go beyond that.

Little Black Jacket
I forgot to post about my trip to the Saatchi Gallery to see the Little Black Jacket exhibition by Chanel/Karl Lagerfeld in the half term a couple of weeks ago. I asked my mum to come along with me as I really wanted to go.

It was extremely interesting as we got to see the same jacket in so many different styles and perceptions from different famous people. I liked some pictures more than others but it was just so wicked to be able to see how people can perceive fashion and make it so unique and their own.. (which is what I love so much about fashion)

Street style photo shoot

I haven't been using this blog much so I have a lot of things to add to it starting with a little photo shoot I did with my friends a couple of weeks ago.

It wasn't for anything serious, just for fun. We found a really cool place near Waterloo station which was a big tunnel full of graffiti that was actually legal to do it there.

I went with three other friends, one being the photographer and others in the pictures. We decided to make it represent both our fashion but also youth fashion today - urban/street clothes. Things like gold chains, aztec prints, beanies and street brands like adidas, supreme, obey, shade london etc...

So we got up around 5 in the morning, wanting to do it early so it wasn't too busy and got to the photo set around 6-30/7ish and left a couple hours later. It was really fun doing taking the photos and experiencing something new for all of us. At first I found it awkward doing our individual photos as I didn't really know what to do but after a couple of photos I really enjoyed it and just felt comfortable doing any poses.

Here are some pictures from the shoot:

The perks of being a wallflower

So I've just finished the book The perks of being a wallflower by Stephen Chbosky that I started on Sunday and I absolutely loved it. I think some people made it out to be sadder than it actually was at the  ending but then again that was more directed to the film.

I didn't quite get what happened straight away and I'm not going to spoil it for anyone but I had a long thing about it and talked about the ending with my friend and got a better understanding and it really is such a great, unexpected ending once you find out.

I am going to see the film tomorrow hopefully and will have to compare the both but it was definitely a book worth reading!
